LOVE BYTES

I am a 47-year-old woman who started using computers about a year ago. Yesterday, I altered a byte in my word-processing software because the cursor was moving too fast.

What it takes to get down into the software or hardware of a computer is the time to learn what’s where and what should be done with it. Women don’t have a lot of extra time because they’re still washing the dishes, changing the diapers and earning a living. If men would get up off their duffs and do their part, they probably wouldn’t dare challenge their computers either, because they wouldn’t have time.

Wake up. It’s 1989. Women are reasonable, logical beings doing what they can with whatever resources are available. Please stop insulting us. It’s too late to be threatened--we’ve already entered the job market. You know, the one that pays more than minimum wage.
