Nashwan will pass up a chance to become the first colt to win the English Triple Crown of horse racing since Nijinsky in 1970 by skipping the St. Leger in mid-September.

The 3-year-old Nashwan, unbeaten in six races, won the 2,000 Guineas and the English Derby this spring to claim the first two legs of the Triple Crown. The horse also won the King George VI race in late July.
