Countywide : New Group to Promote Planting of More Trees

Treepeople, an international organization dedicated to tree planting and preservation, will organize a county chapter to increase the number of trees here by 80 in the next 15 years.

The new Tree Society of Orange County will hold its first meeting at 2 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Ruby Gerontology Center at Cal State Fullerton.

Sponsored by the Fullerton Arboretum, the county chapter will organize tree plantings and present information on fast-growing trees.
