Pasadena : Tax Spending Panel Elected
The Old Pasadena Business and Professional Assn. has elected nine people to oversee the spending of an estimated $60,000 annually in the newly created business improvement tax assessment district.
Bordered by Pasadena Avenue on the west, Arroyo Parkway on the east, Union Street on the north and Green Street on the south, the area includes 270 business owners and professionals.
The district was created by the Board of Directors in July to help promote and revitalize Old Pasadena, a section of the city which dates back to 1888.
Those selected include: Roger Crawford, Sandra Elliott, Carl Groene, Walt Hackman, Mark Haines, Roger Kislingbury, Ray Leier, Jim Plotkin and Sammy Zaribaf.
