Ian J. Sandler has joined General Automation Inc. as director of software engineering. He was formerly manager of Pick software development for Sanyo/Icon International, based in Provo, Utah. Before that, he held a similar position with CIE Systems Inc., Irvine, a subsidiary of C. Itoh Electronics. General Automation, with headquarters in Anaheim, is a supplier of computer systems, software and field services.
