In Extremis Wins Feature at Del Mar

In Extremis took the lead with a sixteenth of a mile to go and pulled away for a 1 1/2-length victory in the $60,000 feature race on the turf course at Del Mar Thursday.

In Extremis, ridden by Laffit Pincay, covered 1 1/16 miles over a firm course in 1:43 1/5 and earned $33,000 in the race for 3-year-olds and up.

In Extremis paid $5, $2.60 and $2.40.

Fair Judgment, ridden by Gary Stevens, was bumped hard in the initial strides of the race by In Extremis and Bon Vent but finished second, paying $2.60 and $2.20.

Bon Vent, ridden by Robbie Davis, finished third and paid $2.80.
