The Junior Arts Center at Barnsdall Art Park begins its fall storytelling series today with a program of “Stories From Many Lands.”

The storyteller is Alecia Grebner, a 15-year-old Angeleno, who is fast making a name for herself in the storytelling world.

A natural performer who lives with her mother and grandmother, Alecia learned many of her stories from them. Others she researches in bookstores and libraries while maintaining an A average at a Los Angeles high school. She was the only teen-ager to perform at the sixth annual National Festival of Black Storytellers recently in Oakland, where she also served as mistress of ceremonies.
