Paul W. Reagan has resigned as executive vice president, chief operating officer and a director of Genus Inc., Mountain View, Calif. William W. R. Elder, the company’s president and chief executive, said Reagan will not be replaced immediately.

Elder also announced that Robert E. McGeary, who joined Genus six months ago as director of Sematech and IBM Programs, has been promoted to vice president, marketing and sales, a new position.

Genus’ products are used in the fabrication of advanced semiconductor integrated circuits.
