2 Firefighters Injured in Blaze at Simi House
A fire destroyed the second floor of a two-story house and injured two firefighters in Simi Valley Monday night, the Ventura County Fire Department reported.
The fire started about 8:10 p.m. in a house in the 2200 block of Burnside Street and was contained at 9:13 p.m., said Fire Department dispatcher Cece Grives. A fire captain and a firefighter were treated at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital for minor injuries after they jumped from the second floor to avoid an eruption of flames, she said.
