The future of the Gay Pride Festival in Orange County remained in doubt after a fist-swinging brawl between militant gay activists and fundamentalist Christians resulting in the arrest of six people over the weekend. Organizers of the two-day event said they were determined to hold it again, despite the violence. But others, such as Santa Ana City Councilman John Acosta, said they will oppose another festival. Council support for the proposal has been split in the past. It is unclear how the weekend melee will affect the vote.
