Body of Woman Found in Rural Area
The badly decomposed body of an adult woman was found Saturday along a rural portion of San Pasqual Road in the northeastern corner of San Diego, police said.
Homicide detectives said the body was partially covered and lying on top of a drainage ditch. A coroner’s autopsy is scheduled.
Investigators are also checking to see whether the case is connected to a number of unsolved killings of prostitutes in the county during the past several years.
Police from Escondido, whose city boundaries are near the area, were contacted first and later notified San Diego authorities.
