More than 1,000 New York Giants’ season tickets have disappeared, but team officials say they won’t know whether they were lost or stolen until the Giants home opener today.

A truck delivering a box of tickets to the Meadowlands three weeks ago had made several stops on the way, and officials say the box might have fallen from the truck.

The tickets, for seats throughout Giants Stadium, had already been purchased by season-ticket holders, team spokesman Ed Croke said. New color-coded tickets have been printed and sent to the ticket holders, he said.
