An 18-year-old fatally stabbed during a fight along the seawall on Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach was identified by police Sunday as Lloyd Gray of Ocean Beach.
Police said that a witness told them that 40 or 50 people were involved in the fight that lead to the stabbing. Gray died at 11:26 p.m. Friday, about an hour after he was found between two parked cars with a wound to the chest.
No weapon was found at the scene, police said. They are seeking a man, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds, and with a noticeable “beer belly.”
