Syncor to Buy Back Shares Owned by French Firm
Syncor International Corp., a Chatsworth-based operator of 84 pharmacy service centers, said its board of directors agreed to repurchase the 1.54 million shares--15% of the total outstanding shares--of its common stock owned by Compagnie Oris Industrie. Syncor said it would pay $6.50 per share, bringing the total purchase price to $10 million. Compagnie Oris, a French health care agency, said it would continue to supply Syncor with its pharmaceutical products.
