Fullerton : Authorities Identify Hit-and-Run Victim
Police on Thursday identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run accident as Ioan Usca, 66, of Fullerton.
Fullerton officers still were seeking the driver of a Cadillac that struck Usca at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday as he crossed the street against a red light and a flashing “Don’t Walk” signal. Usca was identified after his relatives reported him missing, police said.
A pale yellow Cadillac struck Usca as he crossed southbound on Highland Avenue at Orangethorpe Avenue, police said. He was hurled onto the windshield and then thrown 95 feet as the car traveled west on Orangethorpe.
Witnesses said the Cadillac did not slow or stop, but speeded up as it left the scene.
