Hawthorne 19, Saugus 0--Senior tailback Chris Alexander scampered for 127 yards and three touchdowns in 12 carries to lead host Hawthorne in a battle of unbeaten teams. Alexander, a member of Hawthorne’s state champion 400-meter relay team, broke loose for first-half touchdowns of eight, 55 and 31 yards. He gained 109 yards before intermission as Hawthorne, ranked No. 9 in Division II, improved to 3-0.
