In his first appearance of the season, Fullerton High School’s John Bailey caught a touchdown pass and kicked two field goals to lead the Indians to a 26-6 victory over Alta Loma in a nonleague football game Friday night in front of about 1,500 in Fullerton District Stadium.

Bailey had planned to sit out the season and concentrate on baseball, but changed his mind three weeks ago and was eligible after taking part in 10 practices.

Bailey kicked a 32-yard field goal with four minutes left in the first quarter to put Fullerton ahead, 3-0. John Colvert tied the score with 46 seconds left on a 22-yard field goal for Alta Loma. But Fullerton took a 6-3 lead when Bailey kicked a 47-yard field goal with time running out in the first half. Bailey caught a 15-yard scoring pass from Rene Arias with about five minutes left in the third quarter to put Fullerton ahead, 12-3.
