Seymour’s Decision to Turn Pro-Choice

Your editorial, “Seymour Shows Grit” (Sept. 17), reflects my feeling about his announcement that he has decided to take a pro-choice stand on the abortion issue, including the funding of those for poor women.

His introspection to review his position reminds me of the adage: “Minds, like parachutes, only function when open.” I hope that many others who consider themselves conservative Republicans will follow Seymour’s lead by opening their minds, and their parachutes, and jumping into the pro-choice camp!
