Writer Judy Blume, author of popular books for children and young adults, is moving into television with a series about contemporary family life, based on her best seller, “Just as Long as We’re Together.” Broadway producer Nelle Nugent (“Amadeus,” “Dracula,” “The Elephant Man”) and Blume will be co-executive producers, and Dick Clark also will be an executive producer. The series is planned for next fall, with a specific network yet to be lined up. “Just as Long” will center on three families who each have 13-year-old daughters.
