East S.D. Man Slain During Argument
An argument Sunday ended in the death of an East San Diego man who was shot once in the chest, a San Diego police spokesman said.
Jose Antonio Rivera, 29, of the 3600 block of 44th Street died at Mercy Hospital shortly after the shooting in the 3800 block of 35th Street, according to the San Diego County coroner’s office.
Rivera and another man had been arguing earlier in the day, police said. The man left and then returned. When Rivera approached the man’s car, he was shot with a .38-caliber revolver.
