Injured Knee Forces Patel Out for Season
Bobby Patel, starting wide receiver and cornerback for Fullerton High School, is out for the season after suffering torn knee ligaments Friday night in a 26-6 victory over Alta Loma.
Patel was playing cornerback when he jumped trying to intercept a pass and fell off-balance, twisting his knee.
“At first, we thought it was just a strain,” Fullerton Coach Steve Nishimoto said. “It’s a shame, because we thought Bobby was going to be one of the best cornerbacks in the North County. This really hurts our team.”
