Poly 22, Verdugo Hills 6--Junior tailback Jonathan Campbell carried 31 times for 280 yards and three touchdowns at Poly to give the Parrots their first win in three games. Campbell scored on runs of one, 63 and 29 yards.
The Parrots’ only other score came with 11 seconds remaining in the first half when Armando Alarcon kicked a 21-yard field goal to make the score 9-0 at the half.
The lone score for Verdugo Hills came midway through the third quarter when quarterback Lance Novak connected with wide receiver Robert Jamison on an eight-yard play.
