Unbeaten Estancia Gets 125 Yards From Wojtkiewicz
Estancia High School rolled along with a 40-0 nonleague victory over Laguna Beach in front of 1,000 Friday at Laguna Beach High School.
The Eagles’ Josh Wojtkiewicz ran for 125 yards in 20 carries and scored two touchdowns to pace Estancia (4-0). Tailback Kevin Thomas picked up 99 yards in nine carries and scored one touchdown. The Artists are now 0-4.
Estancia scored with 1 minute left in the first quarter on Thomas’ 15-yard run. Alex Vazquez kicked the extra point.
With 10:16 left in the second quarter, quarterback Dan Ucker hit wide receiver Mike Aulet with a 30-yard touchdown pass. Vazquez’s kick made it 14-0.
Wojtkiewicz followed with touchdown runs of two and 9 yards, as Estancia made it 27-0 at the half.
