City Ends Segregation

EAST LONDON, South Africa — This city has voted to follow the example of Johannesburg and end racial segregation in city-run public facilities, officials said Tuesday. The City Council voted at a meeting Monday evening to open swimming pools, buses, parks and other facilities once reserved for whites.
