The State : 3 Arrested in Gang Killings
About 60 police officers from Garden Grove and Santa Ana arrested three gang members believed to have killed two people and wounded six others in the worst gang-related incident in Orange County history. The officers swooped down on seven houses in Santa Ana as well as a warehouse, a home and a construction site in Riverside. Three gang members, including two men suspected of firing into a crowd of 13 people outside a Garden Grove home on Sept. 16, were arrested on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and acts involving gang activity, police said. One of those arrested is a 14-year-old Santa Ana boy, investigators said. A fourth murder suspect called his parole office to say he would surrender, officers said. A fifth gang member, Randy Martinez, was arrested after guns were found at his Santa Ana home.
