The State : Widow of Slain Man Arrested
The widow of a man who was shot to death Sept. 21 on a Santa Barbara-area beach was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport, police said. Diana Bogdanoff, 41, was taken into custody for investigation of the shooting death of Phillip Bogdanoff, 49, in a secluded cove at El Capitan State Beach, an area used by nudists. Diana Bogdanoff’s arrest came a day after sheriff’s deputies arrested her daughter, Stephanie Joy Allen, 18, and the young woman’s boyfriend, Brian Keith Stafford, 21, in Bakersfield. Authorities said they were looking for a second man as a suspect. Initially, the murder of Bogdanoff, who was shot twice in the head, was reported as a random act of violence. No motive was offered after the arrests.
