Assistant Says He Received $18,000 From Hall
Lynn Amedee, offensive coordinator at the University of Texas, said Monday that he received $18,000 last year in a personal-services contract from former Florida football Coach Galen Hall, who resigned Sunday amid charges he broke National Collegiate Athletic Assn. rules.
The charges included making unreported payments to two Florida assistants, one of them Amedee. Amedee said his contract was not reported to Florida officials and said he was unaware the arrangement might have violated NCAA rules.
David Berst, the NCAA’s executive director of enforcement, said that neither Texas nor Amedee would be subject to sanctions.
