P. M. BRIEFING - Chrysler Boosts Prices by 5%
DETROIT —
Chrysler Motors announced today that prices of its domestically built cars for 1990 will rise an average 5% from comparably equipped 1989 models.
A company spokesman said the prices, which replace tentative estimates provided to dealers in August, include a 3% price hike attributable to the installation of driver-side air bags in all of Chrysler’s domestically built cars for 1990.
