WORLD IN BRIEF : ISRAEL : 6 Palestinians Die in Occupied Areas

Six Palestinians lost their lives in the occupied territories and 18 were wounded, including a 3-year-old, Arabs and the Israeli army reported. Four of the deaths were reportedly the result of confrontations between Israeli troops and demonstrating Arabs in refugee camps in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The shrapnel-riddled body of another Palestinian was taken to Ramallah Hospital in the West Bank. Israel Radio said he apparently was killed while preparing a bomb. The sixth person, Nuhzu Mabruka, 35, was found hacked to death in an alley in the Nablus central market. Arab reporters said she was killed because she was a prostitute; Israel Radio described her as a collaborator.
