WORLD IN BRIEF : COLOMBIA : Man Killed by Own Grenade in Bogota

An unidentified man carrying a hand grenade in a briefcase was killed when the grenade exploded near the Presidential Palace in Bogota. Three other people were injured. Police said it was not clear if the victim was linked to the cocaine cartels that have declared war on the government. Both houses of the Colombian Congress were in session nearby when the explosion occurred.
