UAL Buyout Plan Wins New Support: The effort by United Airline’s pilots and managers to revise their failed $6.75-billion offer for UAL Corp., the airline’s parent company, got a boost from United’s flight attendants, who said they support employee ownership and plan to join in discussions over the new proposal. The buyout, which is opposed by United’s machinists, would have given 85% ownership of the airline to its employees.
