Soviet Sailor Rescued After 67 Days Adrift in Pacific

HONOLULU — A Soviet sailor trying to cross the Pacific in a 20-foot sailboat was rescued by a passing container ship after drifting for 67 days, the Coast Guard reported. The 30-year-old man appeared to be in satisfactory condition, although he had lost a lot of weight, a Coast Guard official said Friday.
