ABC’s coverage of the New York Marathon on Nov. 5 will be run to the beat of an original score written by Academy Award-winning composer Bill Conti (“The Right Stuff”). While the runners are doing their 26 miles on the streets of the Big Apple, Conti will be at Lincoln Center conducting the Juilliard Symphony Orchestra in a performance of his music. He will be in telephonic communication with ABC Sports executive producer Geoffrey Mason to match the music with what is happening on the race course.
