From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Explosions that may have been caused by illegal fireworks leveled one house and set two others on fire in Conneaut, Ohio, killing at least two people and injuring 13 others, authorities said. Fire Chief Bim Orrenmaa said firefighters found devices that looked like fireworks in the home where the explosion and two subsequent blasts occurred just before noon. Conneaut, a city of about 13,000 people, is in extreme northeastern Ohio, and fire companies from as far away as Erie County, Pa., were called to help fight the fires.
