County Will Offer Influenza Shots
San Diego County Public Health Services will offer influenza immunizations at special clinics in November, a spokesman said Thursday.
The immunization program, conducted out of the county’s seven public health centers, is available to people 55 and older, and other risk groups susceptible to contracting the flu, the spokesman said. The county Department of Health Services also recommends immunization for people who live with high-risk group members.
The fee for shots is $2 but can be waived if a person can’t afford it. For more information, call the 24-hour information line at 236-2350. In North County, the number is 940-1462.
