Al Martinez

I have never written regarding a columnist before and should have since we have so many favorites in The Times. But, this time I am moved to write regarding the columns of Al Martinez. They are wonderful and the one that spurred me to tell you so was the one called “Stars Beyond a Mountain.” It was so heartwarming and one I shall put in my files to keep.

I feel ashamed to add the names of other favorites instead of writing separate letters, but who knows when I shall get around to it again. We always enjoy Jack Smith, Erma Bombeck, Zan Thompson and, of course, Dear Abby and Ann Landers.
