Thai Airways to Buy Airbus, Boeing Jets

BANGKOK — Thai Airways International has issued letters of intent to buy 14 new passenger aircraft--one from Boeing Co. and 13 from Airbus Industrie, a company official said Wednesday.
The official, who asked not be named, said Thai Airways’ board approved the letters of intent at a meeting Tuesday.
The planned purchases include five Airbus 300-600Rs, eight Airbus 330-300s and a Boeing 747-400.
