One of Oregon’s Most Wanted Men Is Caught
California authorities have arrested one of Oregon’s 10 most wanted criminals, a Los Angeles gang member who allegedly smuggled cocaine into Oregon, police reported Thursday.
Anthony Gibson, 23, was arrested last week in Los Angeles, Oregon State Police Lt. Cleve Veteto said.
Gibson has waived his right to fight extradition and was expected to be returned this week to Oregon.
Gibson first was arrested in June, 1988, near Medford, Ore., and was charged with possession of cocaine and a stolen handgun. He was released on bail, fled the state and was later named to the “10 Most Wanted” list.
