NATION : Vanessa Vadim Charge Dropped
NEW YORK — Vanessa Vadim, the daughter of actress Jane Fonda and French director Roger Vadim, agreed today to three days of community service in exchange for the dismissal of misdemeanor charges stemming from her arrest near a building known for its drug location.
Vadim, 21, a student at Brown University in Providence, R.I., rushed smiling from the courtroom in the glare of television cameras after the ruling, refusing to answer questions shouted by reporters.
She clutched the hand of her sister, Natalie Vadim.
Vadim was arrested Oct. 6 on Manhattan’s Lower East Side when police nabbed her and Thomas Feegal, 22, as he allegedly passed heroin to another man.
Vadim may complete her community service at a hospital either in New York or Rhode Island, law enforcement sources said.
