An aide to Orange County Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Lomita), a chief critic of governmental arts funding, will speak in San Jose on Nov. 18 about the recent controversy over federal funding of exhibits of photographs of homoerotic material and of a crucifix immersed in urine. Aide David Eisner will address the forum, which is part of the annual congress of the California Confederation of the Arts, running Nov. 16-18. The confederation is the state’s largest arts-advocacy organization. The congress will also address the potential of the arts to play a key role in the 1990 governor’s race. For information on the forum or the congress, call (916) 447-7811.
