Man Sought in Holdups of S & L Offices
CYPRESS — Police searched Saturday for a man they suspect robbed two savings and loan branches in the same business park in the period of a few days.
The robber walked into a Century Federal Savings & Loan Assn. branch in the 10000 block of Valley View Street shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, handed a clerk a note demanding money, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.
Earlier in the week, a man matching the robber’s description similarly robbed a nearby branch of Constitution Savings & Loan Assn., according to Scott Cornelius, a spokesman for Cypress police.
The suspect is a thin white male between the ages of 25 and 28, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall.
