Losses Cited as Aetna Cuts Staff: The insurance company said it will trim about 100 jobs, mostly in its headquarters office in Hartford, Conn., as part of a move to reduce sales of personal auto insurance in the face of a $53.9-million operating loss through September. The company intends to write 10% fewer of the policies in 1990 and 20% fewer over three years.
