Former star marathon runner Dick Beardsley, 33, will undergo surgery on his left leg, which was mangled in machinery at his dairy farm in Shafer, Minn., his running coach said.
Beardsley was listed in stable condition at Chisago Lakes Hospital, said supervisor Jeff Smith.
