NEWPORT BEACH : Child-Care Facility Nears Approval
Hoag Hospital officials will go before the Coastal Commission today in Marina del Rey to seek approval of a planned 9,000-square-foot, one-story child-care center.
The commission’s blessing is likely, according F.W. (Dubby) Evans, the hospital’s vice president of facilities, design and construction. “The Coastal Commission understands the pending need, and they are expected to recommend approval,” he said.
The child-care center, which has been in the planning stages for more than four years, will be located west of the cancer center that is under construction and should be open in August or September.
Free child care would be provided at the center by the hospital for its employees.
