Snowden Passes Mission Viejo Past Schurr
MONTEBELLO — Tim Snowden completed 20 of 25 passes for 278 yards and four touchdowns to lead Mission Viejo High School to a 35-6 victory over Schurr in a Division III first-round playoff Friday night at Montebello High School.
Snowden completed 14 of 18 passes and threw touchdown passes of 25 and 11 yards in the first half as the Diablos built a 21-0 lead.
Tailback Ryan Darke was the leading receiver for Mission Viejo (9-2) with eight receptions for 103 yards and one touchdown. Terry Kesner caught two touchdown passes and Keith Gapusan caught another for the Diablos.
Mark Gaw scored on a one-yard run to give Mission Viejo a 7-0 lead with 3:57 left in the first quarter.
Snowden then threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Gapusan with 10:07 left in the second quarter and to Kesner for an 11-yard scoring pass with :11 left in the half to make it 21-0.
“The offense exploded tonight,” Mission Viejo Coach Mike Rush said.
