SHORT TAKES : Michael Jackson Plugs Mirage
LAS VEGAS — Entertainer Michael Jackson has been hanging out the last couple of weeks at Steve Wynn’s new $630-million Mirage Hotel, which opens Wednesday on the Las Vegas Strip. Jackson and Wynn are longtime friends.
Jackson has popped up at interviews Wynn has conducted with reporters checking out his new 3,100-room showplace. One reporter from an Eastern newspaper had to be convinced by Wynn that Jackson was, in fact, THE Michael Jackson and not a Las Vegas look-alike.
Jackson and Wynn are planning a special feature at the resort that will be known as the “Jackson Attraction,” an area featuring Jackson memorabilia and souvenirs.
