Chinese Premier Arrives in Nepal for 3-Day Visit

KATMANDU, Nepal — Chinese Premier Li Peng arrived in Katmandu on Sunday for a three-day visit that Nepal hopes will generate help for its economy, heavily damaged by a trade war with India.
Li, on his first foreign tour since the Chinese army crushed massive pro-democracy demonstrations in June, arrived from Bangladesh to a welcome from his Nepali counterpart, Marich Shrestha.
