THE SIDELINES : 13 Athletes Pass Drug Tests
INDIANAPOLIS — Thirteen track and field athletes selected at random, including World Cup 400-meter hurdles champion Sandra Farmer-Patrick, tested negative during the third week of a new year-round drug testing program, the Athletics Congress said today.
One athlete, who was not identified, did not report for testing and is under review by a committee of The Athletics Congress, the governing body for track and field in the United States.
Through the first three weeks of the program, 37 athletes tested negative for drugs and five did not report for the tests. No one tested positive.
