St. Joseph Ballet Company is only $13,175 short of meeting a 2-for-1 challenge grant of $150,000, board chairwoman Joni Smith announced in a letter Tuesday. The grant, which has to be met by Dec. 31, was provided by two Orange County couples. It will be used to increase enrollment and number of classes provided to disadvantaged and inner-city children. The company-school was founded in 1984 by Beth Burns, who continues as artistic director. Information: (714) 541-8314.
