GIVING THANKS
The Holiday Spirit: Charlton Heston, Earl Holliman and Laraine Newman are among the celebrity volunteers who will roll up their sleeves and serve a complete Thanksgiving meal today from noon to 5 p.m. at the Los Angeles Mission on Skid Row. The stars join 400 other volunteers to serve turkey and all the fixings to as many as 5,000 homeless men, women and children. . . . Hollywood will add some good cheer to the Thanksgiving menu on Thursday when the Laugh Factory hosts its fifth annual free dinner and comedy show for struggling actors and comics at 5 and 8 p.m. Reservations: (213) 656-1336.
